Mangrove ecosystems are valuable coastal ecosystems; however, studies on the diversity and functional features of their soil fungal communities during restoration limited. In this study, we examined trophic modes across mudflat, young mangrove, mature mangrove stages. We found that Ascomycota Basidiomycota were dominant phyla, with saprotrophs as most abundant mode. The abundance major phyla significantly varied Although alpha (α)-diversity remained stable among stages, beta (β)-diversity showed significant differentiation. Spearman's analysis partial Mantel tests revealed total nitrogen inorganic phosphorus influenced α-diversity, whereas temperature pH primarily shaped β-diversity. Total carbon key factors affecting mode main drivers Variation partitioning confirmed nutrients, rather than properties, primary shaping modes. Random forest identified bioindicators, including species such Paraphyton cookei, saprotrophs, both which strongly by carbon. These findings advance our understanding ecology in restoration.

Elucidating the dynamics of soil microbial diversity in coastal wetlands is essential for understanding changes ecological functions within these ecosystems, particularly context climate change and improper management practices. In this study, patterns influencing factors bacterial fungal communities a muddy wetland China were investigated using Illumina sequencing 16S rRNA ITS1, across dominated by different vegetations varying proximity to coastline. The include four plots
