Purpose This paper aims to unveil the greenwashing intention of green bonds issuing in Chinese enterprises through lens stock pricing efficiency. Abstract This study investigates the relationship between climate policy uncertainty and corporate greenwashing behavior using data from Chinese A‐share listed companies 2009 to 2021. The results indicate that increasing significantly robustly strengthens behavior, particularly among firms located in regions with weaker environmental regulations, within high‐polluting industries shorter‐term management perspectives. Additionally, development widespread adoption of digital technologies, along enhanced external regulatory pressures, can inversely moderate positive greenwashing. In summary, this contributes our understanding under risks provides insights for achieving social sustainability.

Abstract Greenwashing has become an important strategy for enterprises to cope with the intense pressure on environmental sustainability and gain legitimacy. Digital transformation impact enterprise decision‐making management. Based panel data of Chinese A‐share listed from 2011 2021, we empirically examine relationship between digital greenwashing using a fixed‐effects model. Digitalization has significantly transformed businesses in the 21st century, but there are gaps understanding how it affects human resource management and organizational culture SMEs Lima, Peru. Purpose In the context of macroeconomic fluctuations and uncertainty in policy changes, it is essential to understand how companies adapt their environmental strategies marketing tactics ensure survival growth. This study, therefore, examines impact perceived economic on corporate greenwashing. Design/methodology/approach Based panel data from listed Chinese A-share market between 2013 2022, this paper employs a high-dimensional fixed effects model explore (PEPU) greenwashing behavior. Purpose Environmental, social and governance (ESG) greenwashing is a form of responsibility response that appears compliant but substantively oppositional. As an abnormal behavior, existing research has rarely focused on the deep-seated strategic logic behind ESG greenwashing. Business strategy emerges as linchpin for companies undertaking series decision-making actions. Consequently, this seeks to provide new insights into drivers corporate role institutional investors in mitigating these practices.
