Digital advancement is a key pillar of economic development that, through effective harmonization, can contibute to sustainable future. Accordingly, this paper uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach study digital transformation’s long-run impact on environmental pollution. On one hand, we find that transformation significantly reduces pollution, result holds for wide set robustness tests. other findings unveil heterogeneities with respect digitalization components and countries’ structural characteristics. Overall, while these support crucial role in promoting growth, special focus should be directed those are more likely harm environment.

As one of the world’s largest economies and biggest emitter greenhouse gases, China plays a critical role in global environmental management. emphasizes new quality productive forces, understanding how green finance can enable innovation (GIQ) is essential for projecting China’s influence sustainable development ecological environment. This paper sets up quasi-natural experiment using Green Credit Policy (GCP) to examine impact financial credit allocation on enterprises’ GIQ. The findings demonstrate that GCP has potential improve GIQ credit-restricted industries, compared non-green ones. It worth noting as speeds its industrial digital transformation productivity improvement, elevate digitization level total factor leading higher by curbing corporate shadow banking. Climate change is a significant and urgent threat, gaining traction in the scientific community around globe requiring immediate action across many sectors. In this context, digital economy could provide mutually beneficial solution by utilizing innovation technical breakthroughs to establish sustainable future that addresses environmental deterioration, promotes economic growth, encourages energy conservation. Against background, study examined diffusion of modeling-based factors affecting small medium-sized firms’ (SMFs) adoption Internet Things (IoT) technology its impact on SMFs’ sustainability performance related environmental, economic, innovation, conservation perspectives. The key findings revealed (i) relative advantage, trialability, observability drive IoT adoption. However, compatibility complexity hinder (ii) When prioritizing factors, benefit strongest driver, most barrier (iii) adopter SMFs spent less natural resources more renewable monitoring systems than non-adopter firms, boosting their sustainability. (iv) firms had greater revenue, profits, credit access non-adopters lower input costs, improving (v) innovative products enterprises, demonstrating performance. (vi) Compared utility expenses energy-efficient technologies. (vii) To realize full potential for inventive future, authorities may pursue variety policy actions involving strengthening implementation standards regulations, securing incentivization financial SMFs, diverting allocation research development avenues, capacity awareness, focusing infrastructure development.

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance is a key indicator of firm’s long-term value competitiveness. This study combined internal management dynamics (TMT diversity absorptive capacity) external social responsibility to provide more holistic perspective that explores the relationship between ESG corporate at multiple levels.
