The engine community is searching for novel fuels concerning sustained availability with superior properties to traditional fuels. From the seeds of Ziziphus mauritiana, vegetable oil extracted and transesterified improvement in its as fuel. qualify it applications. This investigation has been carried out on a 5.2 kW, 1500 r/min, eddy current loading compression ignition engine. Engine runs at different loads neat mauritiana biofuel biodiesel. Both developed power all Z iziphus lesser calorific value, elevated density, viscosity, least brake thermal efficiency, highest emissions except NOx. were improved through transesterification. At maximum load, compared biofuel, biodiesel percentage variation 2.1%, 6.0%, 24.4%, 14.5%, 31.4% increase peak pressure, heat release rate, NOx, carbon dioxide, respectively. A 40%, 26.1%, 33%, 4% reduction delay, CO, HC, smoke observed, respectively operation. Compared produced better results nearly equal diesel NOx smoke. Therefore, fuel can be used replacement
