The conversion of lignocellulosic agricultural waste into biofuels and other economically valuable compounds can reduce dependence on fossil fuels, harmful gas emissions, support the sustainability natural resources, including water, minimize amount in landfills, thus reducing environmental degradation. In this paper, wastes biomethane, biohydrogen, biodiesel, bioethanol, biobutanol, bio-oil is reviewed, with special emphasis primary secondary residues as substrates. Some novel approaches are mentioned that offer opportunities to increase efficiency valorization, e.g., hybrid systems. addition physical, chemical, biological pretreatment waste, some combined methods mitigate negative effects various recalcitrant processing (alkali-assisted thermal pretreatment, hydrolysis alkali bioaugmentation) evaluated. addition, production volatile fatty acids, polyhydroxyalkanoates, biochar, hydrochar, cellulosic nanomaterials, selected platform chemicals from described. Industrial sectors, pivotal for the economic prosperity of nations, rely heavily on affordable, reliable, and environmentally friendly energy sources. Industries like iron steel, oil refineries, coal-fired power plants, while instrumental to national economies, are also most significant contributors waste gases that contain substantial volumes carbon monoxide (CO). CO can be converted a highly efficient free fuel, hydrogen (H2) through well-known water gas shift reaction. However, untapped potential H2 from industrial streams is yet explored. This first article investigates production gases. The available resource (i.e., CO) its estimated. provides insights into principal challenges avenues long-term adoption. results showed 249.14 MTPY produce 17.44 annually. suggests revolutionize management contribute significantly towards Sustainable Development Goals 7, 9, 13ensuring access sustainable, modern all taking decisive climate action, respectively.
