In this study, several composting strategies such as the use of semipermeable geotextile covers and biochar an additive were investigated to improve olive mill wastewater (OMW) biodegradability mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during industrial-scale composting. addition, final characteristics compost obtained its marketable value also assessed. For purpose, four different co-composting mixtures prepared with OMW main ingredient, two types manure (cattle goat manure) bulking agents (almond pruning vineyard waste) N C sources. The results showed that exothermic behavior more influenced by strategy. a reduction in losses (−14%) via GHG significant improvement cation exchange capacity (+35%) or content humic substances (+10%) product. Lastly, cover was shown be worst cost-effective strategy, it did not quality no effect on emissions.
