In this study, the use of ultrasound techniques as a pretreatment for bagasse and municipal sludge was investigated. Carbonation of alkaline industrial by-products has great potential for CO2 sequestration. In this work, the carbonation performance fly ash, steel slag and carbide was analyzed. The ability to capture is obviously better than that other two materials due higher faction calcium-based active substances. Mechanism analysis demonstrated mass transfer gas-liquid interface controlled rate process initially, while Ca2+ solid-liquid gradually became rate-determining step increasing time.
