Recent developments have emphasized the need for agrifood systems to move beyond a production-oriented approach recognize agriculture as part of broader system that prioritizes livelihoods, social equity, diets, and climate environmental outcomes. At same time, knowledge base is growing exponentially. Using artificial intelligence machine learning approaches, we reviewed more than 1.2 million publications from past 20 years assess current landscape agricultural research taking place in low- middle-income countries. The result clearer picture what has been conducted on small-scale farming post-production 2000 present, where persistent evidence gaps exist. We found greatest focus literature economic outcomes, such productivity, yield, incomes. There also some emphasis identifying measuring However, noticeable data exist focused nutrition diet, gender inclusivity.

ABSTRACT As global food security continues to be extremely challenging, countries are seeking optimal solutions for the sustainable development of their agriculture and systems under environmental resource pressures. This study explores whether how digitalization facilitates or hinders China's security. Based on data from Food Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Bank, United Nations E‐Government survey, we assess digital transformation in terms infrastructure, competition, innovation, governance using entropy method. Specifically, use ordinary least‐squares robust ridge regressions estimate impact China during 2000–2021. The results indicate that improves through production transaction enablement. Namely, infrastructure competition significantly contribute availability, accessibility, utilization. In addition, innovation experiences synergies with other indicators improve However, decreases sustainability because premature governance, as well a lack talent, investment, technical support. Thus, increase security, it is essential upgrade accelerate cultivate talents, make full enabling market.

Digital tools are widely claimed to be global disruptive forces in agriculture that benefit smallholder farmers. While these have led positive outcomes across multiple dimensions, there is a risk of exacerbating social inequalities, particularly for marginalized groups such as women and less educated Despite existing frameworks digital inclusivity, challenges persist operationalizing guidelines, especially addressing socio-cultural barriers literacy willingness engage. Here we synthesize principles inclusive food systems provide innovative examples on how each the has been applied practice. many demonstrate progress engaging diverse farmers enhancing access, other responsible use data technology frequently addressed. The uneven distribution innovations highlights comprehensively. We call more holistic approach tool development, one not only bridges divide but also empowers by technical currently limit their full participation agriculture.

Various Digital Agricultural Technologies (DAT) have been developed and implemented around the world. This study aims to estimate overall adoption rate identify determinant factors for a better perspective after decades of innovation dissemination. A systematic review was conducted on published studies that reported rates using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. We used meta-regression partial correlation coefficient effect size establish between socioeconomic characteristics various technologies reported. Fifty-two with 32400 participants met selection criteria were included in study. The results revealed an pooled 39%, highest developing countries Africa South America. Socioeconomic such as age, education, gender, income found be main determinants should considered when designing technology sustainable adoption. also young farmers more susceptible Moreover, higher levels educational attainment are likely use linked agricultural production, market access, digital advising, implying high-income education tech-savvy. However, this does not exclude low-income low-educated from adopting technologies, many models strategies considerations developed. It is one reasons behind underlying enthusiasm low middle-income countries.
