How Is Climate Change Changing Agrarian Studies?

ABSTRACT A range of compelling recent literature highlights how climate change is rewriting the intertwined social and environmental processes that comprise agrarian landscapes. Mainstream reaction has been to double down on technical intensification strategies supplemented by a resolute faith in scientific advancement reduce vulnerabilities. For critical studies, however, raises new conceptual methodological challenges. Has reinforced or undermined existing concepts frameworks explain core dynamics change? Does studies as field engaged research need alongside climate? In this exchange our contributors consider anthropocentric requires rethink analytical categories within studies. Key questions forum addresses include: How does validate and/or challenge armoury normative orientations inherited largely from Marxist‐influenced political economy? What theoretical influences will prove helpful orientating changing do we synthesise these with concerns? And reformulation understanding forms content resistance environments?
