A reconciliation of the disagreement on whether financial globalization (FG) affects ecological footprint through scale, technique and composition effects cannot be achieved without an explicit understanding direct indirect interactions FG with environmental sustainability. Hence, novel perspective this study lies in investigation how green innovations moderate non-linear tendencies FG-environmental sustainability link among western African states given abundance natural resources prevailing pace economic growth. The core findings are obtained from robust analysis based cross-sectional autoregressive distributed lag (CS-ARDL) technique, augmented mean group (AMG) common correlated (CCEMG) advanced estimators. Firstly, beneficial impacts were observed. As per impact, enhanced exhibits detrimental effects. However, cushion observed adverse FG. Furthermore, resource rents reduce within moderating framework innovation as Kuznets curve (EKC) is validated states. Additionally, a bidirectional causal between globalization, innovations, growth, resources, was Thus, significant policy implication for West to decisively increase their investments while strategically encouraging share ecologically friendly total utilization guarantee more sustainable environment.

Abstract To achieve sustainable development goal (SDG) 7 the world needs a lot of catching up. India has been at forefront renewable and clean energy missions its ecological footprint 0.8 global hectares fares quite well vis‐à‐vis average. This study, spanning from 1990 to 2021, investigates impact structural changes, technological innovation, adoption on India's footprint, utilizing novel dynamic Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) simulation for both short long‐term analysis. We find that agriculture exerts significant increase in long run run. Similarly, industry value added positive statistically related footprint. However, result service sector indicates negative influence run, but relation with Technological innovation shown favorable effect environment by reducing Renewable consumption also enhanced environmental quality reach SDG goals lower policy implications include promoting energy, practices industry, encouraging innovation.

When confronted with ecological challenges, trading ecologically friendly products involving renewable technologies, green management practices, and effluent treatment methods could alleviate degradation on a global scale while considering the macroeconomic policy framework. Therefore, this study determines effectiveness of fiscal monetary instruments in moderating relationship between trade openness (i.e., environmentally related products) sustainability. Applying panel quantile regression data from 20 OECD members 2003 to 2016, we found that supports sustainability through gains-from-trade approach. Concerning moderation effects, expenditure-driven expansion reinforces favorable influence across less/moderately efficient economies, it does reverse for more members. Taxation-driven contraction promotes amelioration impact economies below-average quality remains neutral those average/above-average quality. Besides, interest rate-driven proliferates enhancement effect openness. We suggest policies demand unambiguous coordination OECD's structure optimal environmental outcomes products. These insights would help gain momentum facilitate attainment Climate Action agenda United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region possesses immense capacity for renewable energy generation. Despite the potential, most countries in are yet to fully embrace energy. Non-renewable sources still dominate their mix. This study examines interplay between urbanization, non-renewable consumption, environmental quality six Eastern African from 1990 2021, using mean group (MG), dynamic least squares (DOLSMG), common correlated effect (CCE), augmented (AMG) cross-section ARDL (CS–ARDL). Accounting economic growth, findings of DOLSMG indicate that while manufacturing activities significantly contribute quality, urbanization human capital development contributes degradation. The CS-ARDL short-term long run estimation result showed When examined by country, it was found there is a unidirectional causal relationship value added, dioxide emissions Saudi Arabia. While causality added Jordan, Tunisia.
