Abstract Top oil importer countries produce large amounts of carbon emission and pollute soil water, threatening sustainable development. Given this issue, study examines the impact solar energy consumption, wind natural resources rent on environmental conditions top five oil‐importing (China, United States, India, Japan, South Korea) for period 1997–2021. In context, analyzes validity Kuznets curve load capacity hypotheses using novel regularized common correlated effects method. The effect results show that are valid consumption supports quality by helping to reduce emissions increase factor. However, usage have no ecological quality. Based these outcomes, importers can provide a better environment their societies promoting while taking concerns into account.

Abstract This study investigates how emission trading systems can diminish the ecological footprint in European Union bloc by considering contribution of eco-friendly technology and governance through another market-based intervention (i.e., environmental tax). Using PQARDL 26 EU members for data during 2011–2021, demonstrates that carbon pricing successfully reduce emissions medium upper quantiles but have little influence on lower quantiles. As businesses consumers face higher costs carbon-intensive activities, they are encouraged to adopt cleaner technologies more sustainable practices. Over time, this shift decreases overall resource consumption, which helps pressure. Additionally, Europe's robust regulatory framework commitment climate goals ensure is enforced consistently, further amplifying its positive impact. Eco-friendly innovation appears be a powerful tool achieving rapid advantages, leading considerable reduction across various levels. Climate-smart patents significantly curb within ecosystem help balance economy environment. Environmental taxes work alongside green incentivize individuals corporations practices members.
