Abstract In this work, preparation of a heterojunction nano catalyst has been reported by the fabrication Cu(II) Salophen complex to ceria (CeO 2 ) through silica linkage 3‐Aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APTES), which is easily separable centrifugation. The nanocatalyst was characterized FTIR, XRD, HRTEM, and EDX analysis. catalytic activity synthesized examined for reduction organic dyes methyl orange red in aqueous medium at room temperature. dye solutions became colorless within very short period time presence NaBH 4 as source hydride ions. process both followed pseudo first‐order reaction kinetics with high efficiency.
