Hydrochemical analysis is crucial for understanding soil and water composition dynamics in coastal aquifers. This study presents a novel framework the comprehensive assessment of groundwater quality, integrating multivariate hydrochemical techniques. It comprises seven stages aimed at characterizing physicochemical properties, identifying constituents, elucidating dominant mechanisms composition, evaluating ion exchange processes, analyzing spatial distribution components, impacting assessing drinking quality. The was applied to unconfined Arroyo Grande aquifer Cartagena, Colombia. Fifteen points were sampled, parameters such as total hardness, alkalinity, pH, temperature, electrical conductivity, anions, cations, among others. Findings reveal presence anions including bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, with relevant variations observed between dry wet season, manganese iron surpassing WHO standards. prevalence these constituents has been attributed mineral dissolution, exchange, salinization due seawater intrusion, anthropogenic contamination. Over 50% samples both seasons fail meet freshwater standards elevated dissolved concentrations groundwater. These findings provide insights sustainable management mitigation strategies, systematic approach enables researchers identify key factors influencing composition.

This study aimed to assess the water quality parameters in wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) of Ain Sefra, southwestern Algeria. Various methods were employed analyze performance and suitability WWTP for irrigation. The results revealed effective removal nitrates, with levels below limit set irrigation water. dissolved oxygen content showed efficient biological processes good degradation organic matter. Phosphate found be within FAO Algerian standards. However, elevated ammonia observed, exceeding typical ranges groundwater was evaluated by calculating indices. These indices categorized all samples as either excellent or based on their Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR) Kelly’s ratio. sodium percentage values raised concerns about potential negative effects soil. Some deemed unsuitable because high magnesium hazard salinity values. findings offer valuable insights into treated Sefra region. They can inform decision makers stakeholders involved agriculture management.
