Infiltration wells are one of the effective infrastructure in draining rainwater so that they can reduce waterlogging, but existing infiltration need to be reviewed for their effectiveness as water shortages still occurring especially Purwantoro Village. The study aims determine and calculate appropriate number Village. The method used this research is a hydrological analysis, planned flood discharge analysis dan well analysis. results showed Village varies greatly, with highest at 82.8% lowest 11.3%. To increase wells, many 109 needed waterlogging. conclusion lack because limited, it necessary add maintenance deposits contained wells.

Abstract Utilizing aquifers as groundwater storage reservoirs is an effective strategy for water management in scare regions. The success of managed aquifer recharge (MAR) relies on the assessment and modeling site-specific hydrogeological characteristics, including salinity, transmissivity, storativity, slope, soil properties, proximity to networks road accessibility, etc. This study employs a GIS-based multi-criteria evaluation technique, integrating both ground remote sensing datasets. results indicate that significant portion total land area, approximately 7,414.11 km 2 (64%), can potentially be utilized MAR practices, while remaining 36% restricted due various constraints, such built-up areas, roads, agricultural lands nationally protected areas conservation. available 64% further categorized into subclasses ranging from highly suitable least areas. Most moderately regions are located northern central parts country where seasonal surplus treated wastewater desalinated may used groundwater. Furthermore, technology also tackle saltwater intrusion coastal by injecting wastewater. These findings suggest has high potential facilitate recovery country, which contribute sustainable resources.

Groundwater abstraction has increased tremendously due to population growth, urbanization, and industrial expansions. Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) been a promising technique for increasing freshwater availability in response water demand different consumptions. This study aimed identify suitable zones MAR the Diredawa catchment, eastern Ethiopia using multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA). The seven parameters processed were soil texture, lithology, slope, land use cover, drainage density, transmissivity, quality (NO3). Each criterion was evaluated with analytical hierarchy process (AHP) mapped by GIS. sensitivity conducted map removal technique, potential validated borehole yield data. suitability assorted into very high, moderate, low, low classes, representing 15.8%, 25.8%, 28.8%, 13.1%, 16.3% areas. mapping is highly affected lithological variation. alluvial sediment, upper sandstone, fractured limestone sandy loam texture are areas implementing MAR. highest site located western, southwestern, northern parts of catchment. will serve as foundation future selection structures, aiming enhance groundwater supply sources, improve quality, manage urban flooding water-stressed flood-prone

Abstract This study addresses the pressing need for assessing groundwater potential in diverse regions worldwide, emphasizing challenges posed by industrialization and urban expansion. Leveraging remote sensing (RS) data within an ArcGIS framework, a comparison was conducted on effectiveness of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Fuzzy Overlay Analysis (FOA) models delineating zones. Ten influencing factors underwent rigorous multicollinearity checks to ensure independent analysis. Both methodologies categorized output into five classification zones, revealing variations between methods. The sensitivity analysis identified specific influential layers each method, showcasing heightened Notably, AHP emphasized such as NDWI, Lineament density, Land Use Cover (LULC), while FOA prioritized Soil Texture, Density, NDWI. Evaluating reliability assessments, demonstrated fair agreement (59.18%), exhibited substantial (77.5%). emerged superior, offering more nuanced precise representation spatial relationships uncertainties. promising performance our suggests its applicability accurate assessment beyond area (India) other countries with heterogeneous hydrogeological conditions.
