Abstract This study describes the development of a multifunction chromoionophoric probe‐based nano‐conjugate material for colorimetric determination, recovery, and removal palladium cobalt ions (Pd(II) Co(II)) from electronic wastes electroplating wastewater. The was prepared using building‐block approach by anchoring 4‐[(E)‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)diazenyl]‐1‐nitrosonaphthalen‐2‐ol (HDN) organic probe onto nano‐spherical silica carrier. materials were characterized different techniques, such as TEM, SEM XRD, BET. HDN evaluated its effectiveness in detecting removing Pd(II) Co(II) wastewater testing various parameters pH, sensing system temperature, reaction kinetic, amount, stability existence other coexisting metal ions. demonstrated high selectivity sensitivity ion‐sensing ions, with detection limit 7.18 208 nM, respectively. method displayed optimal at pH levels 6.0 8.0 respectively, presence did not meaningfully influence performance ion‐detection due to powerful ability material. adsorption capacity towards investigated outcomes 163.40 128.57 mg/g, could be regenerated eluting adsorbed 0.15 M HCl solution. In addition, reused multiple times, almost no decrease initial after regeneration. Based on findings, shows potential environmental removal, wastewater, indicating multi‐function solution concerns issue even commercialized used larger scale.
