The groundwater (GW) of Bangladesh is predominantly contaminated with arsenic (As) and iron (Fe) which has a bad impact on human health. We tried to remove these elements easily available mahogany-fruit (Swietenia mahagoni) husk charcoal (MHC) banana (Musa acuminata) peduncle (BPC). trial was implemented 3 replications throughout the research. sampled GW contained 0.06 mg As L-1 4.83 Fe L-1. Firstly, pH 3, 5, 7, 9 250 dose. MHC removed almost 91.05% at 5.0, BPC 86.67% 9. However, in case Fe, 100% 7 9; same quantity Secondly, contact times were 0, 10, 20, 40 minutes dose 7.0. maximum removal 5 minutes. pseudo-first-order kinetic, pseudo-second-order intra-particle diffusion models considered. result showed that rate adsorption followed kinetic model. Lastly, adsorbent doses 50, 150, 250, 350 At highest 79.47% for MHC. Similarly, values 79.29% BPC, indicating are good heavy metals removal.

Every day, the amount of quality fresh water decreases notably due to contamination drinking water. As a result, people use commercially supplied jar in southern part Bangladesh as well Gopalganj municipal area. This study aims investigate physicochemical parameters, trace elements, and microbial parameters for assessing human health risks from oral ingestion these elements. gathered samples 15 companies area during post-monsoon season. Temperature, potential hydrogen (pH), total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), salinity showed significant variation among samples, level was within national international standard limits. The concentrations iron (Fe) arsenic (As) were measured using UV–VIS spectrophotometer atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), respectively. analysis conducted by membrane filtration method. found that had an average concentration 0.16 mg/L terms Fe 0.016 As, with mean value exceeding On other hand, did not exceed standards. Probable risk heavy metal determined hazard quotient (HQ), index (HI), carcinogenic (CR) assessments. A child (HI = 3.5914) is more vulnerable non-carcinogenic than adult 1.6931). Furthermore, pollution pose high risk, children (CR 1.6 × 10 −3 ) being adults 7.5 −4 ). In analysis, 100% exceeded coliform fecal limits, 80% Escherichia coli Among 7% present around 47% medium 26% show low 20% no based on E . find any extremely limit concentration. inadequate quality, which may increase water-borne infections such diarrhea heart disease, diabetes, cancer. manufacturer jars must carry out essential control procedures, government should regularly monitor procedures.
