This study is the first attempt to characterize suitability of Grombalia phreatic aquifer for irrigation use by combining traditional classification diagrams with different geostatistical interpolation methods. The Wilcox and USSL suggest that only 20% groundwater samples satisfy recommended sodium standards, whereas 50% are classified as unsuitable because salinity constraints. spatial four parameters, particularly electrical conductivity (EC), chemical oxygen demand (COD), chloride, piezometric levels, performed via ordinary kriging (OK). results reveal presence high values EC in central northern parts aquifer, chloride concentrations exceed standards a large portion mainly due excessive industrial discharge. High levels COD observed northwestern part, probably anthropogenic sources. Indicator (IK) revealed part likely experience toxicity adversities, majority southern considered be suitable use. In particular, 38% area expected concerning (i.e., total dissolved solids (TDS)), an even lower (16%) respect chloride.
