The Coordinative Evaluation of Suburban Construction Land from Spatial, Socio-Economic, and Ecological Dimensions: A Case Study of Suburban Wuhan, Central China

As a zone lying adjacent to urban areas, construction land development in suburbs includes expansion caused by urbanization and rural increments development. Given the necessity of satisfying demands while protecting ecological environment, goals use efficiency, socio-economic coordination, benefit need be ensured simultaneously, which indicates that coordinative suburban is great significance, thereby raising for reasonable evaluation level from multiple dimensions. However, coordination considering spatial, socio-economic, factors insufficiently studied. To fill research gap, this study comprehensively evaluates at town level. Specifically, four indicators dimensions, including landscape pattern, accessibility, symbiosis, functional suitability, are selected. By utilizing coupling degree estimation, among selected evaluated. adopting case Wuhan, different levels regarding identified respondent suggestions promote under current China’s policies provided. This contributes understanding proposing method estimate coordination.
