With the intensification of socioeconomic activities and climate change, land use conflicts are becoming more serious, posing major obstacles to sustainable territorial space. This study conducted research on conflict zoning control with a view contributing new ideas for prevention resolution risks. By analyzing positioning drawing upon fundamental theories, novel paradigm was proposed. Land use conflicts represent an increasing challenge to sustainable development, particularly in regions undergoing rapid urbanization. This study investigated the spatiotemporal dynamics of land and their ecological implications Tianshui City from 1980 2020. The main objectives were identify patterns spatial heterogeneity, explore driving factors behind these conflicts, analyze relationship with risks. results indicate following findings. In terms early changes primarily driven by structural factors, such as topography climate, a Nugget/Still ratio <0.30 observed 2000. After 2000, however, stochastic including average annual urbanization rate increase 5.2% GDP growth 9.1%, emerged dominant drivers, reflected > 0.36. Regarding conflict intensity, high-conflict areas expanded approximately 1110 square kilometers between 2020, predominantly concentrated fertile agricultural Weihe River Basin urban core areas. Conversely, non-conflict zones decreased 38.7%. risk correlation, bivariate LISA cluster analysis revealed significant autocorrelation severe risks (Moran’s I = 0.62, p < 0.01). High-risk clusters transitioning arable built-up increased 23% after Predictions based on future land-use simulation (FLUS) model suggest that 2030, high-intensity will expand additional 16%, leading intensified competition for resources. Therefore, incorporating safety thresholds into planning policies is essential reconciling development conservation, thereby promoting transitions.

ABSTRACT This study uses the establishment of Pilot Free Trade Zones (PFTZ) as a quasi‐natural experiment, analyzing data from A‐share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen 2009 to 2022. A staggered difference‐in‐differences (DID) model is applied examine impact PFTZ on firms' green governance performance (GGP). The results show that significantly enhance GGP, with robust findings after parallel trend tests, placebo addressing endogeneity. Mechanism analysis reveals improve GGP through two key mechanisms: “conceptual governance” “process governance.” conceptual mechanism strengthens firm's environmental social responsibility awareness, while process enhances management efficiency fosters innovation transformation, thereby improving quality. Heterogeneity indicates stronger effects high‐pollution industries, firms greater reputational capital, regions advanced finance infrastructure, eastern regions. Furthermore, regional regulatory intensity public awareness positively moderate this effect. also expands corporate access sustainable financing, supporting balanced economic outcomes. provides valuable insights for policymakers promote transformation within PFTZ.

The terrestrial spatial patterns were affected by human activities, primarily on regional land use (LU) changes, with habitat quality (HQ) serving as a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development. Assessing and predicting the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of LU changes HQ is critical formulating strategies enhancing ecosystem service functions. Using Poyang Lake Region our research object, this employs data utilizes ‘InVEST’ model hot-spot analysis to quantitatively evaluate in during 2000–2020. PLUS then applied predict trends from 2020 2050. findings are follows: (1). From 2000 2020, areas forestland, shrubland, sparse woodland, paddy fields, dryland showed decreasing trend, reductions mainly occurring urban expansion zones such Nanchang City largely converted into construction land. (2). Since 2000, has shown slight retrogressive evolution, significant heterogeneity. spatially exhibits pattern improvement radiating outward major cities. (3). Predictions 2030 2050 indicate that will continue decline, most downward built-up their peripheries. reveal an ring around east–west corridor linking Pingxiang, Yichun, Xinyu, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Yingtan, Shangrao. This study provided basis direction planning policies its surrounding areas, while also contributing agrarian security enhancement levels region.

Excessive human activities associated with rapid industrialization and urbanization have exerted tremendous pressure on limited land resources. Scientific use planning is essential for attaining sustainable development. This study focuses multi-objective optimization in Xinjiang, China’s largest arid region, targeting the dual goals of maximizing ecosystem services economic benefits. The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) future simulation (FLUS) model are integrated innovatively to explore optimal terms both quantity spatial distribution. Four distinct development scenarios predefined compared: natural development, ecological preservation, main results as follows: (1) fragile Xinjiang has been under during past 40 years. predominant pattern transition was increase construction (+115.66%) cultivated (+47.18%) at expense grassland (−5.48%) forest (−4.15%), which hold substantial significance.
