Clear and sanitarily adequate water scarcity is one of the greatest problems modern society. Continuous population growth, rising organics concentrations, common non-efficient wastewater treatment technologies add to seriousness this issue. The employment various advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) in becoming more widespread. In review, state-of-the-art application three AOPs discussed detail: photocatalysis, sonophotolysis, sonophotocatalysis. Photocatalysis utilizes semiconductor photocatalysts degrade organic pollutants under light irradiation. Sonophotolysis combines ultrasound photolysis generate reactive radicals, enhancing degradation pollutants. Sonophotocatalysis synergistically with resulting improved efficiency compared individual processes. By studying paper, readers will get an insight into latest published data regarding above-mentioned from last 10 years.
