Abstract Radioactive waste has become a critical concern due to its adverse impacts on the sustainability of living organisms and environment. The is widely generated from various nuclear activities, such as power generation, healthcare, industry, mining, research. Recently, there been an intense focus developing electrochemical techniques for radioactive management these offer several advantages compared other methods, including cleanliness, versatility, environmental friendliness, ease operation, good compatibility with methods. This article aims provide comprehensive overview electrochemical‐based methods development their capabilities extract radionuclides liquid wastes. follows traditional literature review method, unsystematically collecting publications 2009 2024 analyzing them using theoretical approach comparative data. Various techniques, electrodeposition, electro‐Fenton, electrodialysis, electrocoagulation flotation, microbial fuel cells, electrosorption/capacitive deionization, photoelectrocatalysis, have discussed. main includes radionuclide types, electrodes, process conditions, well extraction effectiveness. highlights application technologies in treatment provides analysis support future research development.
