Lagoons are ecosystems for biodiversity and the livelihoods of coastal communities. The main objective study was to analyze variability arsenic concentrations in gastropods bivalves Aby Tendo lagoons, taking into account spatial, seasonal hydrological variations. carried out four stages spread over two successive hydroclimatic cycles, including seasons during rainy season more dry season. samples were taken areas lagoons. Arsenic levels measured by ICP-MS. results showed that mean muscles organisms Lagoon ranged from 0.01 1.26 μg As/g, with a median 0.17 0.06 respectively. Fish had highest arsenic, followed crustaceans, while molluscs plants lower comparable As. tilapia jawbones varied significantly between sites seasons, higher at than those other species, averages 0.74 1.03 mg As/kg,

Minimizing human exposure to arsenic (As) and ensuring an adequate dietary intake of selenium (Se) are significant issues in research on food sources. This study measured the content As Se muscles, gills, liver, gonads fish round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) assess benefits risks associated with their consumption. was achieved by using reference (DRI), estimated daily (EDI), target hazard quotient (THQ), carcinogenic risk (CR). The elements were analyzed atomic absorption spectrometry. mean concentrations (in μg kg−1 wet weight) 25.1 161.4 muscle, 58.8 367.4 47.4 635.3 gonads, 16.4 228.5 respectively. Arsenic muscle portion accounted for up 0.5% DRI, while constituted approximately 30% DRI. EDI values below oral dose (RfD). THQ much permissible levels (THQ < 1), CR at least within limit (CR 10−4). With regard content, muscles can be deemed safe consumers. They may also a valuable source diet. However, consumption should monitored proper these elements.
