Yellow
River
Delta
(YRD),
a
critical
economic
zone
along
China's
eastern
coast,

Amidst
rapid
industrialization

urbanization,
region

significant
land
use/cover
changes
(LUCC),
impacting
ecosystem
services
(ES)
security
patterns
(ESP).
Investigating
LUCC's
effects
on
ES
ESP
YRD
is
crucial
for
sustainable
development.

study
utilized
PLUS
model
to
simulate
2030
use
scenarios,
including
natural
development
(NDS),
(EDS),
protection
scenarios
(EPS).
Subsequently,
InVEST
circuit
theory
were
applied

under
varying
LUCC

2010
2030.

(UGBS)

cities,

built-up
areas.

spatiotemporal
dynamics

Rapid
urbanization
and
industrialization
have
had
a
range
of
effects
on
urban
form
land
use,
especially
in
resource-based
cities.
Previous
research
has
predominantly
focused
the
analysis
compactness
or
land-use
efficiency
individually,
overlooking
their
interplay.
In
this
study,
we
propose
coupled
coordinated
framework
for
(UC)
(ULUE).
We
analyze
UC
ULUE,
as
well
degree
types
coupling
coordination
(CCD)
between
them,
119
counties
districts
rich
coal
resources
within
Shanxi
Province.
The
findings
reveal
declining
trend
Province
over
time,
with
coal-resource-based
cities
exhibiting
lower
than
non-coal-resource-based
ULUE
shown
stable
development
during
study
period.
CCD
exhibit
spatial
typological
heterogeneity.
Further
demonstrates
that
mainly
manifest
lagging
UC.
This
provides
foundation
achieving
harmonious
structure
offers
new
perspectives
sustainable
regions.
