With the ongoing expansion of global economic activities, environmental degradation has emerged as a progressively severe challenge. The Sustainable Development Goals are significantly impacted by this issue, making it essential to establish symbiotic relationship between development and protection. In context, an investigation into efforts OECD promote ecological protection assumes critical role, given its prominent position leading cooperation organization. Therefore, we examine efficiency, financial development, renewable energy, industrialization, footprint in 36 countries from 1995 2018. An empirical analysis employing fully modified Ordinary Least Square technique reveals inverted U-shaped curve efficiency footprint, supporting Kuznets (EKC) hypothesis countries. Moreover, research that industrialization exacerbate damage, while advancement energy plays pivotal role controlling fostering conservation. Furthermore, introducing interaction terms, find weaken positive effect on reinforces it. Finally, findings Dumitrescu-Hurlin panel causality show causal all three variables, namely consumption, is bidirectional. contrast, degree unidirectional. These provide practical policy recommendations for sustainable offers valuable insights lessons can inform formulation relevant policies other regions. Overall, study not only innovatively enriches theoretical content EKC perspective but also important guidance significance.

This study examines the effects of health expenditure, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, population size, and income on outcomes in 46 Asian nations between 1997 2019. Cross-sectional dependence (CSD) slope heterogeneity (SH) tests are utilized due to close linkages as a result commerce, tourism, religion, international agreements. The research uses unit root cointegration second generation after validating CSD SH issues. Due results tests, it is clear that conventional methods estimation inappropriate, so new panel method, inter autoregressive distributive lag (CS-ARDL) model, used instead. In addition CS-ARDL, study's were checked with common correlated mean group (CCEMG) method an augmented (AMG) method. According CS-ARDL study, higher rates use healthcare spending lead better for countries over long run. emissions shown be harmful human health, according study. influence population's size negative CCEMG, but favorable AMG. Only AMG coefficient significant. most instances, CCEMG corroborate CS-ARDL. Among all factors influencing life expectancy countries, influential. Hence, improve outcomes, need take required actions boost spending, long-term economic growth. To achieve best possible should also reduce their emissions.

This study estimates the effects of gross domestic product (GDP), population, renewable energy consumption, fossil fuels, and foreign direct investment (FDI) on Kenya's carbon emissions by considering time series data from 1972 to 2021. investigation makes use "Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL)" method, which is grounded in theoretical framework "Stochastic Impacts Regression Population, Affluence, Technology" model known as STIRPAT model. According empirical results, variables have long-run cointegration. lends credence earlier research demonstrating that a rise GDP population can increase country's CO2 emissions. All estimation methods used this also demonstrated growth has negative impact emissions, while positive effect long run. In context ARDL, fuels but not statistically significant. Achieving sustainable development required significant investments infrastructure because reduces Based these findings, policymakers make informed decisions about energy.

Adverse consequences are observed in developing countries due to the impact of globalization process. Therefore, our study aims empirically verify whether escalates carbon dioxide emissions selected N-11 (next-11) between 1990 and 2019. The also analyzes how per capita GDP, GDP2, population growth, renewable energy consumption affect emissions. For this reason, researchers used several econometric methods, including slope homogeneity test, cross-sectional dependency panel unit root cointegration method moment's quantile regression analysis, Wald test. estimated results show change across a range quantiles (0.1 0.9). findings that GDP significantly impacts overabundance countries. Over time, found positive coefficient value decreased from first last (7.41 5.87), leading validation EKC hypothesis. adverse correlation GDP2 environmental contamination confirms Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis is valid for Globalization deteriorates environment by directly affecting CO2 It increases monotonically lower upper (0.972 1.002). At level 0.1 0.9, growth increase impede these Coefficient values 0.9 (-0.35 -0.53) suggest governments can reduce more over time. But negative (-0.97, -0.93, -0.90, -0.88, -0.86, -0.85, -0.83, -0.81, -0.77) decrease quantile. test supports asymmetric effects different quantiles. As robustness check estimators, FMOLS, DOLS, CCR, which variables' long-run elasticity. research developed targeted policy recommendations sustainably mitigating based on above results.

The main purpose of this study was to examine how tourism, GDP, renewable energy, and fossil fuels cause environmental damage. This examined ten African countries between 1997 2021 test the Kuznets curve (EKC) theory. Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Morocco, Tanzania, Tunisia, Mauritius, Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria are with most tourists. In paper, augmented mean group (AMG), (MG), common correlated effects (CCEMG) models were used deal slope heterogeneity (SH), cross-sectional dependence (CSD), a mix first-differenced level stationary variables. Though inverted U-shaped exists, findings significant only for MG. impact energy is favorable environment AMG estimator. Inversely, tourist arrivals detrimental significant. Based on each country, tourism-based EKC theory works Tanzania. research found that using more minimizes CO2 emissions effectively in almost all except Morocco Ghana. Uganda’s increase when tourists come from other countries. For sake both tourism environment, government must reconsider its policies implement ones include energy. assist transition clean aiding sustainable growth. As result, selected should develop new plan focuses sources protects environment.
