Aims: Conduct a systematic review of case reports and series regarding the development acute abdomen following vaccination with COVID-19, to describe in detail possible association, clinical demographic characteristics. Methods: Case report studies COVID-19 were included. Systematic studies, literature, letters editor, brief comments, etc. excluded. PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, Web Science databases searched until June 15, 2023. The Joanna Brigs Institute tool was used assess risk bias study quality. Descriptive data expressed as frequency, median, mean, standard deviation. Results: Seventeen identified 17 patients associated evaluated, including: appendicitis (n=3), pancreatitis (n=9), diverticulitis (n=1), cholecystitis (n=2) colitis (n=2). most vaccine Pfizer-BioNTech (mRNA) 64.71 %. majority cases after first dose (52.94 %). All responded objectively medical (88.34 %) surgical (11.76 treatment discharged within few weeks. There no death. Conclusions: Acute is rare complication great interest practice vaccination, our reviewed based on small sample patients, therefore it recommended conduct future observational fully elucidate mechanisms by which this association occurs.

Abstract The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic seems to have been overcome and replaced by other issues that influence risk perception, communication, behaviour. However, for some people, the aftereffects continue reverberate, either because they suffer from “long COVID” or side effects of COVID-19 vaccination. aim this article is examine experiences patients in Germany who attribute health problems A literature search was conducted using four engines, but no publications were found shed light on topic. This indicates there remains a gap research landscape. discussion considers what factors might patient experience contribute lack

Abstract The impact of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection on the potential development pancreatitis is a subject ongoing debate within academic discourse. Establishing causal link between COVID‐19 and may not be fully supported by relying only retrospective studies or case reports. This study examined relationship phenotypes Mendelian randomization (MR) method. identification instrumental variables (single nucleotide polymorphisms) that exhibit robust association with was accomplished through meticulous process rigorous screening procedures. We included chronic (CP) as outcomes in MR analysis, even though no definitive exist CP. A direct genetically predicted risk cannot established. There an over designation cause pancreatitis.

The safety profile of the Sputnik V vaccine is generally reassuring. Nevertheless, an enhanced risk new-onset immune-mediated diseases has been increasingly reported following adenoviral-based Covid-19 vaccine, including inflammatory arthritis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, optical neuromyelitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, subacute thyroiditis and liver injury as well glomerulopathy. However, no case autoimmune pancreatitis yet. Herein, we describe a type I that may be due to vaccine.

Acute pancreatitis, marked by sudden inflammation of the pancreas, presents a complex spectrum causative factors including gallstone obstruction, alcohol abuse, and viral infections. Recent studies have illuminated emergence vaccine-induced acute notably associated with COVID-19 vaccinations, presenting diverse mechanisms ranging from direct viral-mediated injury to autoimmune reactions. Understanding this link is pivotal for public health, yet challenges persist in identifying managing cases post-vaccination. Comprehensive literature reviews employing PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses) statement outline potential pathways leading emphasizing need deeper investigations into underlying health conditions modifications vaccine components. Notably, rare occurrences pancreatitis extend beyond vaccines, reports also documenting associations measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), human papillomavirus (HPV), other vaccinations. Mechanistically, hypotheses such as molecular mimicry immunologic been proposed, necessitating ongoing vigilance exploration. Regulatory agencies play crucial role monitoring communicating safety concerns, transparency address risks maintain trust. these adverse events remain integral informed vaccination policies allay concerns surrounding safety.
