Background
According
to
the
broaden-and-build
theory

positive
emotions,

Mindfulness

Purpose
Emotions
are
an
important
aspect

work
performance
but
often
overlooked,
especially
amongst
preschool
teachers
whose
environment

laden

emotional

demands.

This
study
examines
how
asymmetric
job
conditions
deplete
the
psychological
resources
of
ECE
workforce
in
a
lower-middle-income
country
(LMIC).

staff,
examined
influence

demands
(emotional
demand,
workload,
role
conflict
and
work-family
conflict)
on
burnout
exhaustion),
(b)
offsetting
effect
occupational
(social
support
autonomy)
–
emotional
exhaustion
relations.
SEM
analyses
revealed
that
high
stressors
(i.e.
demands)
were
related
with
levels
exhaustion,
while
social
autonomy
served
as
significant
buffers
positive
link.
These
outcomes
serve
evidence
for
re-design
management
programs
by
strategically
allocating
school-level
LMICs.
