Thiamethoxam (THM) is a neonicotinoid insecticide used to control different insect pests on fruits, vegetables, and field crops. The misuse continuous exposure THM cause many harmful effects health the reproductive system. This work aims investigate efficiency of vitamin C (vit C) in reducing or eliminating testes, liver, kidney male rats.Forty-eight sexually mature Wister albino rats (weight: 170-190 g; age: 10-11 weeks) were randomly allocated into six groups (8 males/group). group was orally given distilled water, vit treated with 200 mg/kg b.wt C, 1/10 LD50 156.3 THM, 1/20 78.15 + C. All for five days per week whole period 58 days. Blood samples collected at end experiment, serum extracted liver functions antioxidant measurements. Reproductive organs (testis, epididymis, seminal vesicles) weighed experiment. The results showed that exposed significantly (p < 0.05) decreased body weight, organ weights vesicles), spermatid count, sperm (count motility), testosterone concentration an increase abnormalities. In addition, decrease protein concentration, albumin, globulin, caused glucose concentration. activities alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate (AST), creatinine, urea, malondialdehyde (MDA) increased while total capacity (TAC) due THM. co-administration HM modulated testicular, parameters, which confirmed histopathological examination testis. Groups significant spermatogenesis, numbers, weight vesicles. This study importance toxic from Accordingly, intake by individuals who regularly handle this will be beneficial adverse may occur kidney.

Achieving renewable clean energy to meet increasing global demand and counter overreliance on depleting unsustainable sources has recently drawn significant research interest. Similarly, attain the sustainable development goals (SDGs) "zero hunger" agenda, massive agricultural/food productions are embarked on, leading increased agro-food waste (AFW) generation with enormous handling costs evade its contribution environmental pollution. The advent of biorefineries fostered a healthy balance for tackling challenges from AFW – thereby promoting circular bioeconomy (CBE). Integrating several emerging microbial/enzymatic bioconversion processes facilitated overall increase in process efficiency. This review, therefore, provides extensive information ecological impacts AFW, as well biorefinery sustainability. We also critically reviewed advances integrated engineering valorization. Finally, limitations prospects real-life application these recent approaches were suggested.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been used in industrial consumer applications for ages. The pervasive persistent nature of PFAS the environment is a universal concern due to public health risks. Experts acknowledge that exposure high levels certain consequences, including reduced vaccine efficacy, elevated cholesterol, increased risk blood pressure. While considerable research has conducted investigate presence environment, pathways human through food packaging/contact materials (FCM) remain unclear. In this review, we present an exhaustive overview dietary PFAS. Also, mechanism migration from FCMs into occurrence foods were considered. Further, analytical techniques matrices as well impacts. recent regulatory actions working set standards guidelines packaging highlighted. Alternative being developed evaluated their safety efficacy contact applications, offering promising alternatives also Finally, reported on general considerations perspectives presently

The reduction in agricultural production due to the negative impact of insects and weeds, as well health economic burden associated with vector-borne diseases, has promoted wide use chemicals that control these "enemies." However, synthetic been recognized elicit impacts on environment wellbeing man. In this study, we presented an overview recent updates environmental pesticides against agro-pest disease vectors while exhaustive reviewing potentials natural plant products from Zanthoxylum species (Rutaceae) sustainable alternatives. This study is expected spur further research exploiting plants their safe effective pesticide entities minimize chemical counterparts environment.

The whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Genn.), is one of the most dangerous polyphagous pests in world. Eco-friendly compounds and new chemical insecticides have gained recognition for whitefly control. In this study, toxicity biochemical impact flometoquin, flonicamid, sulfoxaflor, alone or combined with lemongrass essential oil (EO), against B. was studied. addition, a molecular docking study conducted to assess binding affinity tested AchE. Based on LC values, descending order adults as follows: sulfoxaflor > flonicamid flometoquin EO. binary mixtures each EO exhibited synergism all combinations, observed mortalities ranging from 15.09 22.94% higher than expected an additive effect. Sulfoxaflor combination EO, significantly inhibited AchE activity while only demonstrated significant α-esterase, none affected cytochrome P450 GST. However, specific by lemongrass/sulfoxaflor mixture α-esterase lemongrass/flometoquin mixture. Moreover, energy scores −4.69 −7.06 kcal/mol. current findings provide foundation utilizing combinations oils integrated pest management (IPM) tabaci.

Agrochemicals, while essential for increasing agricultural yields and pest control, have unintended consequences. They contaminate soil water, disrupting ecosystems, reducing biodiversity, threatening aquatic life. Furthermore, agrochemicals harm non-target organisms, ecological balance. On the human health front, farmworkers pesticide applicators face acute poisoning risks, with symptoms ranging from discomfort to severe illness or death. Chronic effects include links cancer, neurological disorders, reproductive problems, raising concerns about food safety worker well-being. Addressing agrochemical toxicity requires a multifaceted approach. Governments must enforce strict regulations minimize environmental contamination ensure safe handling practices. The industry can adopt sustainable methods like integrated management (IPM) organic farming reduce reliance on agrochemicals. Innovations such as precision agriculture, biological nanotechnology, artificial intelligence early risk detection are essential. Collaboration among stakeholders is critical more environmentally friendly agriculture sector, involving regulatory measures maximum residue limits (MRLs) practices IPM farming. In summary, this review highlights urgent need address holistically, balancing productivity future planet.
