Thiamethoxam (THM) is a neonicotinoid insecticide used to control different insect pests on fruits, vegetables, and field crops. The misuse continuous exposure THM cause many harmful effects health the reproductive system. This work aims investigate efficiency of vitamin C (vit C) in reducing or eliminating testes, liver, kidney male rats.Forty-eight sexually mature Wister albino rats (weight: 170-190 g; age: 10-11 weeks) were randomly allocated into six groups (8 males/group). group was orally given distilled water, vit treated with 200 mg/kg b.wt C, 1/10 LD50 156.3 THM, 1/20 78.15 + C. All for five days per week whole period 58 days. Blood samples collected at end experiment, serum extracted liver functions antioxidant measurements. Reproductive organs (testis, epididymis, seminal vesicles) weighed experiment. The results showed that exposed significantly (p < 0.05) decreased body weight, organ weights vesicles), spermatid count, sperm (count motility), testosterone concentration an increase abnormalities. In addition, decrease protein concentration, albumin, globulin, caused glucose concentration. activities alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate (AST), creatinine, urea, malondialdehyde (MDA) increased while total capacity (TAC) due THM. co-administration HM modulated testicular, parameters, which confirmed histopathological examination testis. Groups significant spermatogenesis, numbers, weight vesicles. This study importance toxic from Accordingly, intake by individuals who regularly handle this will be beneficial adverse may occur kidney.

Food contaminants pose serious threats to public health, with profound negative impacts on the economy, society, and environment. However, there is a lack of timely comprehensive reviews latest developments in food effective measures prevent contamination, particularly through novel intelligent detection technologies regulatory regimes. This study addresses this knowledge gap by presenting review literature, focusing current types contaminants, advances technologies, emerging risks, frameworks. The reviewed 116 relevant articles published between 2019 2024 conducted thematic analysis. were classified into three categories: biological, chemical, physical. identified six key drivers future safety risks: demographic change, economic factors, environmental conditions, geopolitical shifts, consumer priorities, technological advancements. Findings reveal uneven understanding concern, their impact system, environment, human health. These findings highlight need for research systematically identifying validating regional differences contamination prevention assessing extent which these effectiveness prevention, mitigation, control efforts. also call more international cooperation active involvement technology partners facilitate application cutting-edge control.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims This review examined the use of chemical preservatives in food preservation fraud risks associated with its misuse Africa. In Africa, there is growing reliance on synthetic such as benzoates, nitrates or sorbates to preserve foods improve storage life foods, however, consumers are eventual victims devastating health consequences these preservatives. The also delves into issue fraud, which involves intentional addition harmful chemicals products aim prolong their shelf look, ultimately resulting detrimental effects. Methods study employs a comprehensive methodology involving literature review, data collection from diverse sources, case analysis, technological assessment detection, policy examine toxicants regulation across Results adulteration demonstrated by studies several African nations, including formalin meat hazardous bread dairy like dichloro‐diphenyl‐trichloroethane, sniper, gamalin‐20 preserving fruits vegetables. emphasizes carcinogenicity, neurotoxicity, dangers reproductive contaminants. Conclusion To reduce connected stricter regulations increased public knowledge required, stakeholders should embrace innovative strategies tailored education, regional cooperation, advanced techniques.
