Abstract Dispose of plastic waste into surface water causes microplastic (MPs) pollution, which can pollute areas such as in Gajah Mungkur Reservoir (GMR) Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the abundance, shape, and polymer type MPs found GMR area. The samples were collected at three locations (intake SPAM Wosusokas, hydroelectric power plant (outlet), inlet (Check DAM Gedong Keduang River). taken 10 times using a 20 L container then filtered 1.68 mm diameter plankton net (No. 14). Afterward, sample was analysed microscopical identification FTIR-ATR analysis. abundance shape analyzed microscopic identification. FTIR Microplastic distribution also mapped QGIS application. average sampling location 340-820 n/m 3 . fibre (39%), fragment (11%), filament (50%). highest Check River (inlet). Polymer types polypropylene (PP) polystyrene (PS). These findings revealed that are already present Indonesia threaten quality.
