A novel bi-layered scaffold, obtained via 3D printing and electrospinning, was designed to improve osteochondral region reconstruction. The upper electrospun membrane will act as a barrier against unwanted tissue infiltration, while the lower 3D-printed layer provide porous structure for ingrowth. Graphene integrated into scaffold its antibacterial properties, drug Osteogenon® (OST) added promote bone regeneration. composite scaffolds were subjected comprehensive physical, thermal, mechanical evaluations. Additionally, their biological functionality assessed by means of NHAC-kn cells. 0.5% graphene addition PCL significantly increased strain at break, enhancing material ductility. GNP also acted an effective nucleating agent, raising crystallization temperatures supporting mineralization. high surface area facilitated rapid apatite formation attracting calcium phosphate ions. This confirmed FTIR, µCT SEM analyses, which highlighted positive impact on mineral deposition. synergistic interaction between nanoplatelets created bioactive environment that enhanced cell adhesion proliferation, promoted superior formation. These findings highlight scaffold’s potential promising biomaterial repair regenerative medicine.

Improving fracture toughness, electrical conductivity, and biocompatibility has consistently presented challenges in the development of artificial bone replacement materials. This paper presents a new strategy for creating high-performance, multifunctional composite ceramic materials by doping graphene oxide (GO), which is known to induce osteoblast differentiation enhance cell adhesion proliferation into barium calcium zirconate titanate (BCZT) ceramics that already exhibit good mechanical properties, piezoelectric effects, low cytotoxicity. Using fast hot-pressed sintering under vacuum conditions, (1 − x)(Ba0.85Ca0.15Zr0.1Ti0.9)O3−xGO (0.2 mol% ≤ x 0.5 mol%) were successfully synthesized. Experimental results revealed these exhibited high properties (d33 = 18 pC/N, kp 62%) microhardness (173.76 HV0.5), meeting standards substitutes. Furthermore, incorporation significantly reduced water contact angle enhanced their wettability. Cell viability tests using Counting Kit-8, alkaline phosphatase staining, DAPI staining demonstrated GO/BCZT non-cytotoxic effectively promoted growth, indicating excellent biocompatibility. Consequently, with superior performance, biocompatibility, show extensive potential application defect repair.

Active packaging is of great interest in the modern food industry due to increasing shelf life and enhancing quality. The importance this technology increases when natural polymers are used construction active packages. Development a natural, biodegradable, dual-active film was aimed study. So, agar aerogel containing different amounts chlorine-doped graphene quantum dots (Cl-GQDs) prepared. Cl-GQDs had excitation-dependent fluorimetry behavior zigzag edges graphene. mean diameter spherical nanoparticles about 12 nm, according HR-TEM images. results Raman ATR-FTIR confirmed that chlorine well-doped on GQD structure. showed high UV-absorption capability very strong antioxidant activity (94.31 %), which maintained these activities after incorporation into aerogel. doped responsible for capacity charge transfer GQDs. BET SEM adding caused porous Finally, types aerogels can be considering intended application Agar 20 % suggested if with good thermal insulation properties considered. However, 1 suitable as an film. In conclusion, while hold promise sustainable multifunctional materials, their potential toxic effects must thoroughly evaluated. Future studies should explore migration, interactions specific matrices, long-term safety ensure consumer protection.

Diabetes has currently acquired the status of epidemic worldwide, and among its various pathological consequences like retinopathy nephropathy, bone fragility fractures from diabetic osteopathy occurs in later stages is equally destructive. Chronic hyperglycemia culminates into deteriorating microvasculature quality bone, making it prone to fractures. Among these, hip are most common, especially older patients apart underlying neuropathy. Our study an attempt ameliorate fracture nerve trauma with electrical stimulation as interface a chronic rat model.
