Abstract Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a severe, rapidly advancing disease that drastically diminishes life expectancy. Without treatment, it can progress to lung cancer. The precise etiology of IPF remains unknown, but inflammation and damage the alveolar epithelium are widely thought be pivotal in its development. Research has indicated activating NLRP3 inflammasome crucial mechanism pathogenesis, as triggers release pro-inflammatory cytokines such IL-1β, IL-18, TGF-β. These contribute myofibroblast differentiation extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation. Currently, treatment options for limited. Only two FDA-approved medications, pirfenidone nintedanib, available. While these drugs decelerate progression, they come with range side effects do not cure disease. Additional strategies primarily involve supportive care therapy. Emerging research highlighted numerous flavonoids derived from traditional medicines inhibit critical regulators responsible inflammasome. show promise potential therapeutic agents managing IPF, offering new avenue targets core inflammatory processes this debilitating condition. The main goal of this systematic review on the flavonol class secondary metabolite quercetin is to evaluate and summarize existing research quercetin's potential health benefits, therapeutic properties, effectiveness in disease prevention treatment. In addition evaluating for drug development with fewer side effects lower toxicity, type attempts collect scientific evidence addressing roles as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticancer agent. first part, we analyze various flavonoid compounds, focusing their chemical structure, classification, natural sources. We highlight most recent biological activities reported literature. Among these pay special attention quercetin, detailing its physicochemical process biosynthesis plants. also present sources emphasize such antioxidant anti-inflammatory effects. Additionally, discuss methods enhance bioavailability, analyzing latest effective delivery systems based quercetin.

Background Smilax glabra Roxb. (named tufuling in Chinese, SGR) has both medicinal and edible value. SGR obvious pharmacological activity, especially anti-inflammation treating immune system diseases. This study investigated differential protein expression its relationship with infiltration hypertension treated using proteomics bioinformatics. Methods N-Nitro L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) was used to replicate the model, administered by gavage for 4 weeks, systolic diastolic blood pressure each group of rats measured tail-cuff method every 7 days. Furthermore, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) determine serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C), high-density (HDL-C) expressions group, followed detection rat liver samples tandem mass tag (TMT) technique. Additionally, hub targets were output Cytoscape 3.9.1 software, ALDH2 detected ELISA. Moreover, R4.3.0 software evaluate between acetaldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) cells, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography–tandem spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) performed identify components SGR. association analyzed molecular docking LigPlot1.4.5 software. Results Compared model (L-NAME), at high medium doses reduced while reducing TC, TG, LDL-C levels increasing HDL-C hypertensive ( p < 0.05). 92 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) identified TMT. These DEPs participated peroxisome functioning, fatty acid degradation, other signaling pathways, being core target correlated various cells. In addition, 18 determined SGR, 8 compounds binding ALDH2. Molecular confirm that played a role based on combined action multiple components. Conclusion conclusion, an antihypertensive effect L-NAME-induced hypertension, as target. may regulate neutrophil, regulatory T cell, cells’ targeting ALDH2, thereby contributing treatment hypertension.

With the increasing prevalence and serious health consequences of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), early diagnosis intervention are key to effective treatment. Recent studies highlight important role dietary factors, including use flavonoids, in improving health. These compounds possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, liver-protective properties. Flavonoids have been shown affect gut microbiota, which plays a function progression. Therefore, their preventing development progression MAFLD through modulation microbiome seems be interest. This narrative review aims consolidate current evidence on effects selected flavonoids progression, potential mechanisms action, implications for personalized interventions management disease.

As global population and lifestyles change, osteoarthritis (OA) is becoming a major healthcare challenge world. OA, chronic condition characterized by inflammatory degeneration, often present with joint pain can lead to irreversible disability. While there currently no cure for it commonly managed using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), glucocorticoids, glucosamine. Although these treatments alleviate symptoms, difficult effectively deliver sustain therapeutic agents within joints. The emergence of nanotechnology, particularly in form smart nanomedicine, has introduced innovative approaches OA treatment. Nanotherapeutic strategies offer promising advantages, including more precise targeting affected areas, prolonged effects, enhanced bioavailability, reduced systemic toxicity compared traditional treatments. nanoparticles show potential as viable delivery system therapies based on encouraging lab-based clinical trials results, remails considerable gap between current research application. This review highlights recent advances nanotherapy explore future pathways refine optimize strategies.
