ABSTRACT Background Hair loss disorders, including non‐cicatricial forms such as alopecia areata (AA) and androgenetic (AGA), well cicatricial forms, represent significant dermatological concerns influenced by various factors, lipid metabolism. While observational studies clinical trials have suggested a link between levels hair loss, the causal relationship remains unclear. Methods We conducted comprehensive analysis of 983 variables [including triglycerides (TG), fatty acids, cholesterol, cholesterol esters, phospholipids, lipoproteins] 4 disorders. Two‐sample univariable Mendelian randomization (UVMR) multivariable (MVMR) analyses were employed to investigate effects lipids on Sensitivity performed ensure robustness our findings. Results The UVMR identified 56 associations with high‐density lipoprotein (HDL‐C), low‐density (LDL‐C), TG, apolipoprotein A1, B, lipoprotein(a) emerging key contributors. MVMR evaluated independent HDL‐C, LDL‐C, TG identifying only AA. confirmed consistency these results. Conclusion This study provides strong evidence for potential highlighting therapeutic targets importance management in affected patients.

Abstract Background Despite numerous studies investigating the association between androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and serum uric acid (SUA), causal relationship AGA SUA remains unknown. Methods We utilized bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) to explore causality SUA. Our study chose single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with genome‐wide significance ( p < 5×10 −8 ) for exposure showing low linkage disequilibrium R 2 0.001) as IVs. Various MR methods were employed evaluate causality, including inverse‐variance weighted (IVW), Weighted Median, MR‐Egger, Mode Simple Mode. Sensitivity analyses performed test robustness of results. Results Using IVW method, we did not find a significant (OR = 1.00, 95% CI 0.99–1.01; 0.451). Similarly, method reveal evidence 0.97, 0.91–1.03; 0.301). The results from other consistent those approach. Conclusion identify Future research should involve larger cohorts advanced validate findings complex interactions levels in different populations.
