This study explores the interplay between research excellence, career advancement, and “publish or perish” culture among faculty in private Indian universities. Using data from 252 respondents, it examines how demographic variables such as age, education, position, experience, engagement shape perceptions of expectations. Factor analysis revealed three key themes: academic success pressure to publish, collectively explaining 71.007% total variance perceptions. The findings indicate that university support qualifications positively influence excellence growth. However, a persistent exerts significant on faculty, often prioritizing quantity over quality outputs. underscores importance institutional strategies fostering balanced environment, providing insights for policy-making

The transformative function of data-driven leadership in higher education institutions (HEIs) is becoming crucial for advancing sustainable development. By integrating decision-making with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG4 (quality education) and SDG10 (reduced inequalities), EIs can improve the efficacy, inclusivity, employability their graduates. Purpose The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the existing literature on women’s leadership in academia by identifying challenges for their underrepresentation, and proposing new-age interventions address inherent systemic biases develop foster an equitable academic climate. Design/methodology/approach employed bibliometric analysis map investigating publication geographical trends. Techniques like citation, co-citation, bibliographic coupling co-word identified seminal research emerging themes, providing insights into developments facilitating identification avenues future research. Findings Our highlights how social, organizational individual barriers disadvantage women leaders. Existing enablers leadership, mentorship, development family friendly policies, focus bringing change within prevailing culture, reinforcing notion “women need support”, overlooking influence barriers. Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) through strategic policy development has been at the forefront of institutional change, especially within higher education sector. Canadian colleges have a large equity-seeking student population due to their open admission structure, but despite this, there are implicit biases actions that impede students' learning experience. Limited literature exists around how approached EDI development; thus, this paper initiates unpacking evident – practice disconnect by asking: 'How do understand equity, diversity, inclusion as articulated in documents?' To address study employs Critical Policy Analysis (CPA) its main research method deconstruct narratives found purposefully sampled documents including: 1) policies procedure; 2) multi-year plans; 3) EDI-based plans performance reports. Results indicate tend be selective usage definitions. There is also tendency use ambiguous language EDI, which makes it difficult mobilise knowledge effectively approach equity directly. Policies often fail privileges held certain positionalities, reinforcing existing power structures rather than challenging them. The significance contribution enhancing theoretical understanding supports policy, well informing future constructive educational institutions.

The concerns about digital literacy in Thailand especially relevant to fake news, disinformation, and misinformation keep increasing creating a multifaceted challenges various sectors of Thai society i.e. financial, commercial, politics, society, health-related. Among the areas identified include contents creation, dissemination, social media enabling information with complex such as proliferation affected more kinds negative effects currently. This study employs mixed-research method quantitative (survey questionnaire) qualitative (Focus group discussion, observation, interview) data collection analysis. A total 315 samples key informants were involved well grouped under 5 categories: marginal youths, elderly, community leaders, teachers, also government workers focusing on knowledge skills news. It highlights contexts regulatory frameworks mechanisms driven by agencies Thailand. Two main results revealed that reflected objectives accordingly: first objective is (1) overview how achieve it. findings summarized from survey questionnaire 1.1) even regulations exist found inadequate enforcement low public awareness call for effective collaborative communication all partners starting agencies; 1.2) urgent need campaigns emphasizing marginalized groups.
