Abstract Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as crucial regulators in various cellular processes, including cancer progression and stress response. Recent studies demonstrated that copper accumulation induces a unique form of cell death known cuproptosis, with lncRNAs playing key role regulating cuproptosis-associated pathways. These may trigger cell-specific responses to stress, presenting new opportunities prognostic markers therapeutic targets. Abstract Several clinical studies have evaluated the relationship between copper on colorectal cancer (CRC), but results are contradictory. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis investigate measured in two biological matrices (serum/plasma/blood tissue) dietary intake CRC patients compared healthy controls. Copper is crucial for many physiological processes across mammalian cells, including energy metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and antioxidant defense mechanisms. However, excessive copper levels can lead to cellular toxicity "cuproptosis", a form of programmed cell death characterized by the accumulation within mitochondria. Tumor cells are less sensitive this than normal mechanism which remains unclear.
