Nanoplastics
(NPs),

have
emerged
a
persistent
environmental
contaminant

risk
to
both
environment
and
human
health.

Abstract
Background
Plastic
pollution,
particularly
microplastics
(MPs)
and
toxic
additives
such
as
bisphenol
A
(BPA),
endangers
human
health.
Therefore,
their
routes
in
the
environment
need
to
be
investigated.
This
study
investigated
microplastic
abundance,
(BPA)
levels,
antioxidant
activity
(AA)
three
commonly
consumed
vegetables—green
amaranth,
jute
mallow,
spinach
sourced
from
two
markets
Osogbo,
southwestern
Nigeria.
Microscopic
technique
was

microplastics
(MPs)

a
global
concern
jeopardizing
environmental
