There is a well-recognized relationship between person’s body burden of essential trace elements such as copper and their neurological function in which both deficiencies exposures to excessive concentrations are associated with adverse clinical outcomes. Preclinical studies indicate chronic excess exposure altered motor function, dopaminergic neuronal loss, astrocytosis, microgliosis. Copper also promotes oligomerization fibrilization α-synuclein suggesting it may hasten the course an α-synucleinopathy. Here we report rare case early onset Lewy Body Dementia Parkinsonism 53-year-old Caucasian woman exposed contaminated drinking water for more than 10 years. Her hair that her daughter had streaks blue-green discoloration did porcelain sinks home. Testing confirmed contamination water. A neurologist diagnosed Parkinsonism. Skin biopsy phosphorylated α was consistent diagnosis These findings suggest act disease modifying factor It has previously been recommended individuals at risk Alzheimer’s (AD) avoid intake copper. Genetic shares factors pathways AD. Based on observations this patient recommend α-synucleinopathy based positive family history, genetic testing, and/or results skin
