Endophytes play an important role in promoting plant growth. To date, although many reports provided insight into the function of endophytes their hosts, few focus on impact nearby plants. Intraspecific allelopathy community is common and presents a notable challenge to medicinal yield productivity. Atractylodes lancea perennial herb that has relatively low yields due intraspecific allelopathy. The bacterial endophyte Pseudomonas fluorescens ALEB7B previously been found increase essential oil content A. lancea, but still unknown. Noninoculated exhibited growth retardation when it was grown community, which related ethylene-induced Further experiment showed exposing volatile from noninoculated or same concentration ethylene reduced lancea. P. fluorescens-inoculated plants emission relieved neighboring Moreover, inoculation had little allelopathic effect receivers were treated with receptor inhibitor emitters production inhibitor. Transcriptomic analysis revealed altered transcriptional response associated Our results demonstrated provides fitness benefits for both hosts neighbors. can be alleviated by altering airborne signals, such as ethylene, endophytic bacteria.

Biochar derived from biomass pyrolysis has proven to be an excellent material for pesticide adsorption and can used as soil amendment non-point pollution. However, the desorption mechanisms certain biochar are still unclear. In this study, we investigated properties of walnut (Juglans regia L.) shell (WSB), batch equilibrium method investigate behavior chlorantraniliprole (CAP). The physical-chemical analysis showed that there were mainly lignin charcoal alkyl carbon, methoxyl aromatic carboayl carbon primary compounds WSB. π - electron donor acceptor interaction, electrostatic hydrogen bond WSB adsorption. Batch study under 298 K application in significantly improved ability CAP, was a mono-layer process Langmuir model fitted isotherm data better than Freundlich model. While addition changed isothermal line S style L style. spontaneous degree reaction sorbents strong weak following order: 5%-WSB > 7%-WSB 10%-WSB 1%-WSB 3%-WSB WSB, maximum effect achieved at 5% (m/m) dosage mixed with soil. Therefore, considered increased its CAP capacity, best choice pollution control. These will contribute mechanism optimal use
