Oral biofilms, which are known as dental plaque, the reason for a wide range of oral and systemic diseases, contribute to serious health risks. Paeoniae Radix Alba (PRA) is traditionally used folk medicine with anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective properties. PRA currently in variety therapeutic approaches diseases. Nevertheless, its inhibitory effect on biofilm formation basis efficacy have not been clarified. This study intended screen potential compounds that inhibit using biochromatography. Two models based S. mutans were determine formation. The extraction was divided into fractions different polarity, active fraction screened, an HPLC profile constructed fraction. Three screened targeted extraction, subsequent validation indicated albiflorin main compound exerting anti-biofilm activity. Our results revealed pharmacological substance inhibiting provide reference further use development products.

Despite their biocompatibility, metal implants are susceptible to infections, leading implant failure and patient complications. The purpose of this study was investigate the antibacterial potential antibiotic-coated titanium stainless steel implants. designed as an experimental in vitro study, it conducted at Department Immunology University Health Sciences, Istanbul/ Turkiye January February 2024. Pieces were coated with gentamicin, teicoplanin, rifampicin a combination gentamicin using dipping method. Antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis aureus assessed zone inhibition (ZOI) measurements. Both displayed significant ZOI values for all antibiotic treatments, indicating effective bacterial growth. exhibited largest both Antibiotic-coated demonstrate promising reducing implant-associated infections. Further research is needed optimise coating method, explore therapies evaluate long-term efficacy approach clinical settings.
