The interaction of the Almone River with groundwater in Caffarella area (Rome, Italy) was investigated using a multi-method approach based on hydrogeological and radon analyses. Eleven measurement stations were established along river at distances approximately 270 m from one another. Stream discharge, water physicochemical properties, levels measured June 2024 to March 2025. contribution two tributaries evaluated, but it found be negligible terms contribution. Except for an average increase 40 L/s between 1A 2A, Almone’s discharge (corrected streams input) constant (around 150 L/s) slightly increasing 6A 11A due heavier rainfalls. increased 2A interpreted as overflow volcanic aquifer into alluvial body turn change geometry volume aquifer. In that part river, concentration only March, fast transition high lower emanation unit. Radon decreased valley atmospheric evasion, confirmed by pH growth CO2 degassing.
