An innovative technology for energy harvesting that transforms direct sunlight into electrical is dye-sensitized solar cells. Since these cells are flexible, lightweight, inexpensive, environmentally benign and involve a straightforward production method, they have far superior qualities to silicon-based Since, photoanode the backbone of cell (DSSC), we synthesized ZnO Ag/Ca doped-codoped nanoparticles using sol-gel technique. The optical, morphological, structural characteristics prepared samples were thoroughly examined. XRD, FESEM-EDX, UV-Vis among methods used characterize produced nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction data showed wurtzite structure was single-phase hexagonal did not contain any impurity phases. effective integration ions host further validated by XRD. Additionally, XRD investigation demonstrates Wurtzite remains unchanged when substituted ZnO. According FESEM morphological images, spherical form. EDAX spectra confirm presence Zn, Ca, Ag O atoms in samples, while optical transparency band gap values analyzed spectroscopy. Co-doping Ca/Ag resulted decrease as determined Tauc’ plot. J-V characterisation assess electrochemical properties fill factor, open circuit voltage, short current density. This signifies 215.39% enhancement efficiency compared pure ZnO-based utilized DSSCs.
