Introduction Paris polyphylla var. chinensis (Franch.) Hara ( P. ) is a perennial medicinal plant with reputation for therapeutic properties. It imperative to study the photochemical processes of in order determine optimal levels shading and moisture management its cultivation artificial environments. Methods In this study, six (no shading, 30%, 50%, 70%, 80% 90% shading) three soil water contents (20%, 40% 60% saturation capacity) were established appropriate shade intensity content growth . Results The results showed that only low groups 30% shade) irreversible damage daily photosynthetic dynamics over course day. important note excessive light can not quantum yield electron transport (φDo) PSII (Fv/Fm), but also various physiological mechanisms lead overall decline organic matter. A comparison Fv/Fm during midday period optimum between 50% 70%. Low significantly increase use efficiency (LUE), reduces net rate P n) transpiration T r), indicating negative effect on growth. Considering balance incidence, should be treatment , followed by 70% shade. was observed (20%) reduced n LUE, while increasing stomatal conductance (gs) (WUE). This associated decrease response curve, inhibits increases likelihood damage, so above 20%. Discussion economic benefits health cultivation, it recommended controlled at around maintaining content.
