In recent decades, the consequences of climate change and urban heat island phenomenon in cities have gotten greater, making them legitimate worldwide concerns. The city has potential to be a catalyst is region most susceptible impacts. That's why this study takes an in-depth look at effects by conducting bibliometric analysis. This extended all research from 2010 2025 using similarity visualization software (VOSviewer). A total 1169 publications were analyzed, as documented Scopus database September 2024, identifying important topics covered journal. results demonstrate several offers prospective researchers road map emphasizing crucial areas where success achievable.

With the intensification of climate change and urbanization, impact high-temperature disasters on urban resilience has become increasingly significant. Based “Pressure-State-Response” (PSR) model, this study proposes a novel assessment method for disaster resilience. Through 15 evaluation indicators across 3 categories, we quantified level in Hangzhou constructed SOM-K-means second-order clustering algorithm to classify area into different zones, exploring spatial differentiation characteristics The research results indicate following: (1) exhibits relatively low resilience, with distribution pattern showing radial decrease from main city at center, followed by slight increase far periphery area. (2) was divided four distinct demonstrating significant characteristics. This innovatively integrates PSR model method, providing new perspective quantitative zoning findings offer valuable decision-making support enhancing

Understanding microclimatic changes driven by urbanization is critical in the context of global warming and climate change. This study investigates land surface temperature (LST), normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), use types for 10 major cities across seven continents between 2001 2021. Utilizing MODIS satellite data processed on Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform, analysis focused yearly median values to examine variations LST during day night, as well dynamics different types, including bare land. The mean trend from 2021, derived Terra MOD11A2 data, was found be 0.025 °C/year. daytime nighttime (nocturnal) (LST) trends ten examined this reveals notable variations, with most exhibiting an increasing within urban mosaics. Airports exhibited a that 2.5 °C higher than surrounding areas, while industrial zones demonstrated even greater disparity, average increase 2.81 °C. In contrast, cold spots characterized dense showed cooling effect, differences reaching −3.7 Similarly, proximity water bodies contributed mitigation, areas near significant sources recorded lower differences, averaging −4.09 A strong negative correlation NDVI LST, underscoring effect through evapotranspiration shading. provides comprehensive perspective commonalities diverse geographical regions climates, contributing deeper understanding how influence temperatures

Abstract Low-carbon cities and climate resilient represent urban development models in China aimed at achieving mitigation adaptation objectives. This study focuses on the dual pilot policy of low-carbon cities, establishing a comprehensive evaluation index system for resilience that encompasses ecological, economic, social, institutional dimensions. Utilizing panel data from 286 prefecture-level above 2005 to 2021, this employs Difference-in-Differences, K-means clustering, Double Machine Learning, tri-dimensional analysis framework "policy instruments—policy pathways—policy objectives." It provides an in-depth assessment policy's impact through synergy effects, tool analysis, key case studies, supplemented by heterogeneity mechanism cluster analysis. Results indicate significantly enhances outperforming effects seen with singular policy. The vary among different types notably significant impacts facing high temperatures, low heavy rainfall, disaster risks. Cities characterized higher levels (categorized as MMHM) manifest more consistent whereas lower (classified LLLL) exhibit some disparities. also identifies strengthening green technology innovation, human capital development, communication infrastructure construction factors enhancing effectiveness. Ultimately, research underscores importance diversity combination tools, well multidimensionality objectives, effective action. recommends managers consider synergistic change measures when formulating policies.
