Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, particularly generative AI, has positively impacted education by enhancing mathematics instruction with personalized learning experiences and improved data analysis. Nonetheless, variations in AI literacy, trust dependency on these technologies among teachers can significantly influence their development of 21st-century skills such as self-confidence, problem-solving, critical thinking, creative collaboration. This study aims to identify distinct profiles trust, examines how correlate the aforementioned skills. Using a cross-sectional research design, collected from 489 China. A robust three-step latent profile analysis method was utilized analyze data. The revealed five literacy teachers: (1) Basic Engagement; (2) Developing Literacy, Skeptical AI; (3) Balanced Competence; (4) Advanced Integration; (5) Expertise Confidence. found that an increase directly correlates decrease findings underscore need for careful integration educational settings. Excessive reliance lead detrimental dependencies, which may hinder essential contributes existing literature providing empirical evidence impact professional teachers. It also offers practical implications policymakers institutions consider balanced approaches integration, ensuring enhances rather than replaces thinking problem-solving capacities educators.

Abstract The integration of AI‐based platforms, such as Poe and Gemini, into language instruction has garnered increasing attention for their potential to enhance writing skills. Despite this interest, little is known about effects on EFL learners' positive emotions (PEs), academic self‐efficacy boredom in writing. Addressing gap, the present study investigated effectiveness Gemini developing skills explored impact PEs, among learners at upper‐intermediate level. For purpose, a total 519 Japanese were randomly assigned three groups: (1) Poe‐assisted instruction; (2) Gemini‐assisted (3) control group (CG) receiving traditional instruction. employed mixed‐methods design, incorporating both quantitative qualitative data collection. Writing development was assessed through pre‐ post‐tests, while emotions, measured using validated scales. Additionally, gathered interviews analysed coding thematic analysis understand attitudes perceptions. Quantitative ANOVA MANOVA compare outcomes across groups. findings revealed that significantly improved compared CG, with no substantial differences between two platforms. Participants groups reported heightened PEs increased self‐efficacy, alongside reduced during tasks. corroborated these results, highlighting platforms' role fostering greater enthusiasm, engagement, autonomy motivation English learning. concludes by offering range implications different stakeholders.

Abstract This groundbreaking study introduces the first-ever integration of emotional intelligence (EI) with artificial in English-speaking instruction through an emotionally adaptive language learning system. Through a mixed-method design, research examined this innovative approach’s impact on speaking proficiency among 40 high school students (aged 15-18) from Varamin County, Iran. The experimental group (n=20) engaged novel “Amazon Alexa-Speak” Speaking Assessment System, featuring AI-driven EI-based real-time feedback; contrast, control received conventional over six sessions following pretest to ensure homogeneity. employed concurrent mixed method collecting quantitative data System and researcher-made perception questionnaire; qualitative came classroom observation checklists semi-structured interviews (n=20), focusing state monitoring anxiety reduction patterns. Statistical analyses revealed significant positive correlation between EI performance (p < 0.05, η2 = 0.42), showing substantially enhanced (F(1,38) 24.63, p 0.05). system’s detection algorithm demonstrated 94% accuracy identifying responding learners’ affective states. presents paradigm shift education technology by introducing first system that simultaneously addresses cognitive aspects acquisition. findings have implications for global market, particularly addressing barriers learning. technology’s scalability cross-cultural applicability make it potentially transformative solution worldwide, opening new avenues intelligent educational development.

Vocabulary plays a fundamental role in language acquisition and communication, serving as the building blocks for expressing ideas, understanding texts, engaging effective verbal communication. However, effectively learning vocabulary can be challenging due to learners’ diverse needs styles, well lack of motivation. With emergence artificial intelligence (AI), numerous opportunities exist leverage technology instruction, including learning. This research explored students’ perceptions towards using Chat-GPT 3.5 (free version) improve beyond classroom. The study employed mixed-methods approach, administering survey with Likert-scale open-ended questions based on Technology Acceptance Model students university academic classes. Results from section indicated potential learners use self-directed after class. Findings parts revealed that provide significant support terms both meanings usage relevant contexts if they have enough guidance scaffolding teachers or peers. Therefore, it is crucial raise awareness about organizing training English technological knowledge, especially how Chat-GPT, ensuring sufficient learners. approach will help guide right path independent

ABSTRACT Research on the factors influencing acceptance of GenAI in language learning has expanded widely; however, few studies have focused role emotions. To enhance effectiveness GenAI‐powered English‐speaking instruction and experience, this study expands Integrated Model Technology Acceptance (IMTA) by investigating various emotions willingness to communicate different contexts as intrinsic motivators for conversational chatbots. Using a questionnaire ( n = 368) pre‐ post‐tests, found that EFL learners with higher communicative confidence greater foreign boredom tend perceive chatbots less useful developing speaking skills. While successfully aided them improving their skills through both theme‐based free dialogues, who are more willing engage face‐to‐face interactions peers teachers may not find productive or engaging human counterparts. The results suggest should be aware limitations students' individual differences, integrating into classrooms way aligns student's proficiency preferences create harmonious efficient GenAI‐supported environment. This also underscores importance teachers' AI competence era.
