Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in United States with a high mortality rate. In recent years, traditional opinion about prostate microbiome was challenged. Although there still are some arguments, an escalating number researchers shifting their focus toward within tumor environment. We mined data extracted from metagenome, and it offers broader taxonomic coverage accurate functional profiling. used Kraken2, mapping tool, to mine gut microbiota patients. A two-sample Mendelian Randomization conducted reflect association between cancer. study, we found consistency special intratumor both non-metastatic tumors metastatic tumors. And dig patients different treatments. that microbiotas may be associated progression exist. The anti-androgen therapy can significantly change microbiome. With metastasis cancer, changes. influences Our discovery help further understand progression, metastasis, resistance perspective level.
