Cultural Influence of Local Food Heritage on Sustainable Development

This
article
explores

Enugu
region.

Architecture
as
a
STEM
career
presents
promising
yet
challenging
path
for
women
pursuing
professional
growth
in
the
field,

remain
under-represented,

experiences,
motivations,
challenges
faced
by
architecture
educational
setting
of
Nigeria.

quantitative
research

137
respondents

structured
questionnaires,

97.93%
response
rate.

findings

that
passion
design
creativity
(73.7%)
was
predominant
motivation
choosing
architecture.
While
80.5%
reported
experiencing

observing
gender-related
challenges,
these
not
ranked
primary
barriers
when
specific
obstacles
identified;
instead,
financial
constraints,
limited
resource
access,
work–life
balance
emerged
most
significant
challenges.
Remarkably,
89.5%
participants
expressed
satisfaction
with
choice,
no
dissatisfaction.
