Abstract: The long-term implications of COVID-19 have garnered increasing interest in recent months, with Long-COVID impacting over 65 million individuals worldwide. Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) has emerged as an important component the umbrella, estimated to affect between 2 and 14% survivors. POTS remains very challenging diagnose manage – this review aims provide a brief overview whole goes on summarize available literature pertaining setting COVID-19. We clinical reports, outline proposed pathophysiological mechanisms end note management considerations. Keywords: POTS, COVID-19, long COVID,

Long-COVID syndrome has become a new health concern. Many major clinical centers have experienced more patients with symptoms suggestive of autonomic dysfunction, especially postural orthostatic tachycardia (POTS) following COVID-19. However, there is lack information regarding the incidence and associated factors in Asian population.

Orthostatic intolerance is a broad term that represents spectrum of dysautonomic disorders, including postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and hypotension (OH), as manifestations severe autonomic failure. While the etiology has not yet fully been uncovered, it associated with multiple underlying pathological processes, peripheral neuropathy, altered renin–aldosterone levels, hypovolemia, autoimmune processes. Studies have implicated adrenergic, cholinergic, angiotensin II type I autoantibodies in pathogenesis intolerance. Several case series demonstrated immunomodulation therapy resulted favorable outcomes, improving symptoms POTS OH. In this review, we highlight contemporary literature detailing association autoimmunity

Abstract Purpose The aim of the study is to analyze and compare cognitive profile between 59 patients with long-COVID [LC; 30 them 29 without a positive coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) confirmatory test] 31 postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) matched group 39 healthy control participants. Methods Participants were examined on battery neuropsychological tests, including verbal memory, visuospatial abilities, attention, processing speed, fluency, working visual memory. Anxious–depressive symptomatology was also analyzed then controlled for possible influence performance. Results Patients LC POTS showed significantly lower performance compared peers. Differences anxious depressive symptoms found clinical groups, resulting in test exhibiting highest rates symptoms. After controlling effects anxious–depressive symptomatology, differences eliminated some variables, but additional after post hoc analysis. Conclusions Findings from present contribute toward reinforcement evidence alterations associated POTS. has be considered both groups since it could affecting
