Application of RUSLE and GIS was carried out to estimate soil erosion in Rupnagar district, which falls within the Shivaliks northwest India. Input layers such as rainfall erosivity, erodibility, slope length steepness, cover management, conservation practice factors were developed ArcGIS. The R factor obtained from gridded data IMD, K FAO map, LS DEM, C LULC map. district divided into seven watersheds (WS-1 WS-7) based on a map Soil Land Use Survey Based average annual loss, ranked with loss being 15.43 t ha-1 yr-1 total 2.1 million tonnes erosion. Very slight seen nearly 80% area, whereas, 7.15% areas faced severe or very severe. WS-2 had recorded highest amount 274,846.5 yr-1, thus first for execution Water Management (SWM). Thus, present investigation forms basis implementation targeted SWM strategies control represent Kandi dryland region Punjab.
