ETICS is a popular external wall insulation system, which not without possible defects and damages. A frequent cause, direct or indirect, of damage to buildings the impact water (moisture). The aim of this study was to develop a novel method for evaluating the service life building coatings. External thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) are, in general, more likely to suffer from colonisation by fungi and algae than conventional walls, regardless of the nature biocide technology used. In recent decades, the sustainable development of planet has been negatively affected by a number factors, including construction industry. The industry includes, among other things, highly topical energy reconstruction existing prefabricated residential housing, which is implemented to improve their condition from thermal engineering and perspective. Composite materials, known as external insulation composite systems (ETICSs), have come fore, bringing undeniable benefits society. After more than 20 years experience, it turns out that in addition benefits, ETICSs also bring new research challenges discussion, are related issue biocorrosion envelope ETICSs, indoor microclimate. Based on literature review case studies, we aim show ecologically friendly building materials require multidisciplinary approach. Energy consumption is indeed a significant challenge in many countries. It important to promote sustainable practices for energy and resource conservation future generations. Sustainable may be developed through architectural standards. Therefore, the aim of this study investigate effects standards on consumption, especially high-rise residential buildings located Northern Iraq. To meet our aim, we collected primary data survey five that had different Smart PLS-SEM was used analysis obtain results investigation. Our findings show all architecture standards, such as building envelope design, system control, shape massing, green roof facade ventilation natural ventilation, orientation solar gain, thermal comfort insulation, have positive impacts indicating selected not followed international standard Iraq high cost-effective. Moreover, window design has negative impact low due attractive design. This implications government, policy makers, architects, engineers, stakeholders.
