Background: Intensive care unit nurses are personally responsible and accountable for theirnursing practice conduct which may be linked to patient safety awareness. Aim: To assessthe relation between nurses' accountability their patient's awareness at intensive careunits. Subjects method: Design: A descriptive correlational research study design. Setting:It conducted Tanta University Hospitals in all ICU (n=350). Subjects: All nurses(n=350) who working the setting mentioned above. Tools: data were collected by usingnurses' structured questionnaire awareness' of safetystructured units. Results: More than half (53.4 %) nurseshad moderate level overall accountability, more (50.9 there had high levelof knowledge, majority (85.1%) them positive attitude safetyand nearly (49, 9%) nurse expert skills. Conclusion: There wasa statistically significant correlation theirpatient's p ≤ 0.05. Recommendations: Top management TantaUniversity pays attention educational training program aboutaccountability

BACKGROUND: Nurses require moral courage to make appropriate decisions. Ethics education can enhance and boost the nurses’ clinical decision-making potential. This study aimed outline impact of ethics focusing on emergency nurses. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A semi-experimental before after intervention with 40 nurses selected by purposive sampling method from two hospitals Mazandaran University Medical Sciences in groups (20 participants) control participants). Demographic questionnaires, Sekarka’s courage, Lori’s questionnaires were administered department occasions. The group received training principles perspective through lectures, film screenings, discussions. sample volume was calculated using G-Power software. ANOVA used analyze data. RESULTS: pretest score 72.30 ± 10.95 71.75 5.99 group. One-way ANCOVA-derived results showed a significant difference between terms posttest scores ( P < 0.05, F = 38.805) 45.278). CONCLUSION: improve their Therefore, are suggested promote various methods such as participation courage-oriented courses.

RESUMO Objetivos: compreender vivências de sofrimento moral enfermeiros relacionadas à sobrecarga trabalho durante a pandemia COVID-19 no Brasil. Métodos: pesquisa qualitativa, cuja coleta dados ocorreu através entrevistas individuais com 19 que atuaram na linha frente da em serviços saúde região Sudeste do Os foram analisados mediante análise temática conteúdo. Resultados: mostrou-se potente fonte para devido jornada excessiva vacinação, dupla trabalho, relação conturbada por pressão gestores e população ao esgotamento físico mental, os quais impediam o enfermeiro agir conforme seu julgamento. Considerações Finais: dos reflete assistência qualidade paciente, impede atuem seus princípios morais, gerando nos enfermeiros.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to understand nurses’ experiences of moral distress related work overload during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. Methods: qualitative research, whose data collection occurred through individual interviews with 19 nurses who worked on front line health services southeastern Data were analyzed using thematic content analysis. Results: proved be a powerful source due excessive working hours vaccination, double hours, troubled relationship pressure from managers and population physical mental exhaustion, which prevented act according their judgment. Final Considerations: reflects quality patient care prevents acting accordance principles, generating nurses.
