The binding ability of human serum albumin (HSA) on active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) is one the most important parameters in early stages drug discovery. The blood–urea–nitrogen-to-albumin ratio (BAR) is recognized as a novel prognostic indicator; however, there limited number of studies investigating the relationship between BAR and in-hospital mortality associated with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Therefore, present investigation aims to explore correlation in patients COVID-19 China. This retrospective observational study enrolled cohort 1027 diagnosed December 2022 March 2023. Multivariate Cox regression analyses were used ascertain independent association among COVID-19. Furthermore, stratified investigate potential interaction effects variables, such age, sex, Severity, hypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus. A total 117 (11.4%) died from various causes during hospitalization. Subsequent adjustment for confounding highest tertile exhibited an elevated risk relative those lowest (hazard [HR] 2.44 [95% confidence interval CI 1.24–4.79]) when was treated categorical variable. When considering continuous variable, 6% increase prevalence observed each 1-unit (adjusted HR 1.06 1.03–1.08]; P < 0.001). Stratified revealed consistent due significant COVID-19, suggesting that higher poorer prognosis. However, further research required confirm these findings.
